The results:

Prints are nicely clean, we’ve now done a couple more prints in the 40% wax castable resin.

Eli and I worked yesterday to setup 3 cat-adjacent forms, they’re still running, this will be our first “large volume” print (~100 ml of resin)

This print continues the experience that the Form 3 runs maybe 20-30 % slower than the Preform / dashboard estimates. Preform said 17 hours, right now, it’s looking more like 22.

Here’s the model

I’ve added the Form 3 to Nexudus, it won’t be generally reserveable until we have some operational experience.

We will also need to find the funds for more resin tanks in order to support additional materials. We’ll have the necessary funds in the Digifab budget in March, however I want to also lean on the membership / community for helping to fill out the capacity.

Each new material carries an overhead cost of $350 for dedicated tank and build platform.

I paused the print to look at this, and then filmed the print in operation:

The castable resin cat and skull printed extremely well, but support settings still need tweaking for easy removal. The cast bronze cat seems to have good surface quality. Having trouble posting pictures but will send them to Sadie to post to this thread. Will post pic of polished up cat soon!
